KATHMANDU, JUL 27 - Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has pledged full utilisation of assistance amount coming from home and abroad for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the April 25 earthquake and its subsequent aftershocks. During his meeting Monday with representatives from different walks of life reached the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, with an assistance amount to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Rescue Fund, PM Koirala said he was effortful to ensure the full utilisaiton of assistance amount deposited in the Fund. On the occasion, Image Television contributed Rs 1.35 million to the Fund. Likewise, the Tourism Development Bank has provided additional Rs one million to the Fund. Earlier, it had deposited Rs one million to it. The Petersburg Nepali Society, UK president Keshab Bhandari called on the PM and handed over a cheque of Rs 525,101. The Society has earlier distributed relief materials worth Rs 1.2 million in different earthquake-hit districts. Similarly, the Federation of Nepalese Transport Entrepreneurs Associations of Nepal has donated Rs 400,000 to the Fund. RSS
