Aug 19, 2015- Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor, who is known for his roles in movies like Rang De Basanti and Meenaxi, was in Nepal for a short trip where he met with earthquake survivors.
According to Care Nepal, Kapoor visited Sindhupalchowk to observe the organisation's emergency response work following the devastation caused by the Great Quake. “I do not want people to forget about Nepal. A lot more still needs to be done and I am looking forward to support the rehabilitation phase as well,” he is quoted saying in a press release by the organisation.
He arrived on Monday and left this morning.
Kapoor, who raised funds for the survivors of the earthquake through his crowd funding platform, ‘Ketto’ was in Duwachowr VDC, where he interacted with people from the community
Kapoor also acknowledged that many other of his fellow Bollywood celebrities were doing their part in helping with earthquake recovery efforts. “It is not just me but the whole Bollywood fraternity including Varun Dhawan, Diya Mirza, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma who have stood strong to help our neighbour country when they need us the most,” he said.
