PAANCHTHAR, AUG 13 - The Federal Limbuwan Party has announced a general shutdown of nine districts in the east on Thursday. The party has said that it has called for the banda in protest against the failure of the State to implement the agreements reached with it in the past and for demarcating provinces without the basis of identity.

As a result, daily life in Paanchthar, Ilam, Taplejung, Terhathum, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha has been affected since early morning today. The market, educational institutions and factories remain closed with public transport not in regular service as well.
Public life hit by banda
Public life in the east has been severely hit by the banda called for today by the Federal Limbuwan Party Nepal in nine districts east of Arun river.
As a result, industries, schools and the market have been closed. Passenger vehicles from Ilam, Paanchthar, Taplejung, Jhapa have been off the road today, according to Mechi Zonal Police Office.
Special arrangement has been made to make sure that no untoward incident takes place during the banda, according to SP Thakur Prasad Gyawali. RSS
