KATHMANDU, AUG 17 - Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam informed the Legislature Parliament that the secessionist remarks by some lawmakers has drawn the serious attention of the government.

“Some lawmakers abetted the general public to raise arms and made some controversial secessionist remarks during their speech,” DPM said while speaking before the parliament session. “It has drawn serious attention of the government.”
DPM Gautam said that Constituent Assembly chairman and lawmakers should also consider against those lawmakers for their controversial remarks. Gautam also presented the audio and video record of such remarks before the parliament.
Madhesi lawmakers Upendra Yadav, Rajendra Mahato and NC lawmaker Amaresh Kumar Singh have been publicly denounced for their remarks during their speech in the west-Tarai districts.
Gautam also informed the house about the ongoing protest programmes in the western districts against the proposed delineation in new constitution.
