KATHMANDU, AUG 17 - Police have arrested 80 banda enforcers from different places in the Capital on Monday, the second day of the two-day general strike enforced by CPN-Maoist led 33-party alliance.

Senior Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Office, Narayan Singh Khadka, told the RSS that 72 banda enforcerswere arrested from Ratnapark and Asan area in Kathmandu while seven from Lalitpur.
The banda enforcers vandalised an jeep bearing Indian registration number plate at Kalimati, a public vehicle at Chabahil and a private van at Patan.
Normal life in Kathmandu valley is normal today as compared to previous day with a large number of private and public vehicles seen plying on the streets. RSS
